Cost Manager – Infra / Real Estate (Open Book Contract)

To perform the supporting role to the Commission Manager, taking responsibility for key tasks, often with respect to large or complex commissions. To support in acting as the day to day client interface, ensuring that client objectives are met through the delivery of a value added cost management services.Cost Managers support on commissions of varying sizes, depending upon the complexity of the project, etc.Key accountabilitiesService Delivery (Client Experience)Conducting feasibility studies and writing procurement reportsApplying Value Management techniques at the outset of a project and where appropriate involving Turner & Townsend’s specialist Value Management teamEstimating and cost planning activities to include taking ownership of and presenting the final cost planProcurement process, ensuring that all stages including pre-qualification, enquiry, analysis, selection and contract preparation are performed effectivelyEffective change controlEnsuring that cost checking and valuation work is managed effectivelyEnsuring the production of monthly post-contract cost reportsValue engineeringEnsuring that final accounts are negotiated and agreedTaking a lead role in interfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stagesBusiness Generation Support the development of allocated sector/service/client marketing action plansProvide and update contact and lead information for incorporation onto the databaseMaintain client care activity for your commissionsProduce / maintain case studies for commissions under your controlIdentifying cross selling opportunities with current clientsIdentifying new opportunities with current clientsSupport new bidsSupport Group marketing initiatives
