MAIN PURPOSE

Rituals is expanding. Quickly. And globally. The more shops, wholesale venues, flagship stores,outlets, spas, and travel locations we open, the more impact in-store customer journeys will have. But what does the perfect in-store journey look like? How do we demonstrably boost awareness and spending? You distil insights into a comprehensive in-store communication strategy and drive tactical execution by a team of in-store specialists, balancing brand consistency with innovation. Of note: the scope is grand (introductions, promotions, special projects) and you need to align stakeholders up to management. Are you ready?

THE ROLE IN SIX BULLETS

  • Develop, implement and evangelise an in-store customer journey strategy for all physical channels (retail, wholesale, travel, city spas) and markets
  • Ensure the team (5 direct reports) delivers effective, consistent & innovative in-store communication materials, evaluate outcomes, and leverage insights and feedback
  • Manage and optimise internal processes, identify and align with all (internal) stakeholders, such as Marketing, Agency, Traffic, Innovation, Format & Design and all relevant Lines of Business
  • Ensure that go-to-market milestones are met
  • Liaise with all levels of stakeholders (from employees to peers to management) who are accustomed to challenging existing concepts and the thought processes behind them
  • Safeguard a consistent (and consistently engaging) in-store tone of voice

YOU IN FOUR BULLETS

  • You combine a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Marketing or Communications with a minimum of 8 years’ relevant (in-store / BTL) retail or FMCG experience
  • You are an excellent projectmanager and you have experience working with lead times and challenging independencies
  • You have superb stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • You can walk the fine line between communicating on-brand and out-of-the-box, and inspire (extended) teams to follow with enthusiasm

As In-store Communication Manager, you are the inspirational strategist and autonomy-boosting coach of the team (span of service: 3 in-store specialists, 2 coordinators) that ‘owns’ the global communication portfolio for retail stores, wholesale, outlets, travel and spa locations. Given our rapid expansion, it’s imperative to rationally streamline the creation process and evaluate productions on their overall impact as well as on individual merits. Guide the team, including management counterparts, towards quantifiable in-store communication success.
