Job Description

MAIN PURPOSE

Shopping for Rituals products should be a wellness experience in and of itself. An experience that awakens the senses, lifts customers up, and heightens the anticipation for the rituals our products contribute to. From applying make-up that conveys power woman in the morning, to unwinding with a lazy bath at night; when you join our Visual Merchandise Operation team, you become the main driver of that experience by designing, implementing and optimizing the Visual Merchandise management for Rituals stores and outlets worldwide. Are your visual merchandising skills up to that impactful challenge? Use your talent to create meaningful shopping experiences!

YOUR ROLE

As Visual Merchandiser you are the visual conscience of our CEO, with whom you’ll liaise directly, e.g. by pitching inspiring and commercially viable Visual Merchandise plans for new Rituals products. We never run out of ideas, and we launch a dozen new products annually, so you need to think on your feet and make quick decisions, sometimes based on limited information. Which shelf plans work best for which retail stores? How do we translate our core values into meaningful in-store shopping rituals? And how do we ‘export’ best practices to different markets, such as the US, Hong Kong and the Middle East? Drive the in-store Rituals brand experience to the next level and delight customers around the globe!

To maximize the impact of your shelf plans, you need to be attuned to our brand identity and a step ahead of evolving customer preferences. This is why you align with key players, including our Retail teams, Concept & Development and Instore Communication on a day-to-day basis. We also expect you to test the local waters regularly. For example, by visiting stores the world over, gathering insights along the way. As Visual Merchandiser you are a (welcome) member of the Visual Merchandising team, and you report directly to the Visual Merchandise Manager. Good to know: the role calls for creativity but focuses on operational aspects. Developing and advocating guidelines for retail stores and outlets is very much in scope, and that also goes for optimizing existing Visual Merchandise plans.

YOUR INGREDIENTS

  • Your main ingredient is a solid track record (2-3 years) in this field, preferably spiced up with a Nimeto and/or AMFI vocational background
  • You contain strong traces of creativity that naturally swirl into commercially sound plans
  • Your visual DNA is in tune with the high standards of the Rituals brand
  • Photoshop, InDesign, Vectorworks and 3D Max are high on your list of additives
  • Your background is infused with in-depth and up-to-date retail store knowledge
  • And you tie everything together with strong English communication skills

OUR OFFER

Rituals offers a challenging role in an eager and diverse team, where empowering your colleagues (and vice versa) is part of the deal. Although our proposition encompasses an attractive benefits and compensation package, the (international) scope and impact of the position may appeal to you even more. When everything is back to normal, you’ll spend (most of) your time at our Amsterdam HQ. We hope you can appreciate the view of one of the most iconic Amsterdam canals.

By joining Rituals, you’ll get to experience a strong culture and entrepreneurial spirit which empowers you to create your meaningful career. We care about the well-being of our staff, as much as we value the well-being of the planet. By passionately looking after both, we believe we can pave the way to a more sustainable world and take appropriate action to limit our footprint on Mother Earth. You’ll have a strong sense of purpose at Rituals. Our mission is to make people feel good and touch as many lives as possible. Independent of your role, you will create a positive impact on our daily business.

Over the next 10 years we want to take the brand and company to the next level. This not only means opening more stores, but also involves building an even stronger community around our brand.
