The HR Generalist performs human resources-related duties and may carry out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: benefits, recruiting, employee relations, payroll, records, employee development and compliance. This position works closely with HR Managers, HR Partners and the HR Director, as needed and as assigned as well as employees and managers in the organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Administers or works on various human resources plans and procedures in alignment with the specific team supported, as assigned.This is a flexible role requiring understanding of and ability to support multiple HR functions, as described below.
Benefits, Leaves & Retirement: May take the lead and/or perform functions for benefits, leaves and retirement.Includes benefits enrollments, changes, inquiries, invoice routing, meetings, vendor interactions; 401K functions and leave of absences.
Recruiting/Onboarding:May actively work on open job requisition activities, assist with refining job descriptions for postings, and act as a scheduler/coordinator in support of Recruiters.
Employee Relations:Supports HR Partners in gathering data/metrics for employee relations issues and/or act as a witness and note taker in investigations; may review disciplinary actions and provide guidance to managers.
Payroll/Records:May maintain employee files, I-9 compliance, data entry, unemployment claims and/or other requests
Employee Development:May assist in onboarding program delivery, record keeping, scheduling of classes and reporting.
Compliance/Policies:Supports policy creation, updates and compliance
Additional Duties: May collect and analyze data, providing summary reports and recommendations to HR management.
May participate in local HR meetings internally and externally, provide trainings as assigned, assist with employee related events
May support other HR-related functions and/or programs and initiatives.

Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration or related field and two years of human resource experience, preferred; or any combination of education, training or experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of major HR functional areas, understanding and interpreting laws, policies and guidelines.
Ability to multi-task and reprioritize workflow frequently
Strong Microsoft Office skills including PowerPoint and Excel
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to effectively summarize and communicate complex information
Additional REQUIREMENTS
Selected candidate will be required to pass a post offer, pre-employment background check
Travel
Occasional travel required to visit other SNBCo. locations and attend trainings/conferences.

This job operates primarily in a quiet office setting with occasional exposure to a manufacturing environment, which may include wet or humid conditions (non-weather), exposure to moving mechanical parts and loud noises, which may occasionally require hearing protection. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones and photocopiers.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
This position requires a valid Drivers License with an exemplary driving record free of any major violations in the last FIVE years
