As part of this high growth initiative, the Senior Full Stack Software Engineer will be a fully proficient engineer requiring professional experience in assignment subject matter or functional area of expertise. Plans and conducts work requiring experienced judgment in the evaluation, creation and enhancement or modification of techniques, procedures and criteria. Devises new approaches to problems. Independently performs assignments and receives technical guidance on unusual or complex problems. May provide direction or guidance to technical support level staff.

The Senior Full Stack Software Engineer role will be doing the following activities to support building software solutions that make a true difference in peoples' lives by enhancing outcomes for patients and their caregivers:
  • Designing and building high quality cloud hosted solutions for the Baxter Digital Health products
  • Building web based applications and scalable REST microservices with data persistence
  • Provide input into requirement reviews and UX designs
  • Writing software designs, unit test and participate in code reviews
  • Be a member of a team using agile best practices to build products.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering - Appropriate technical discipline or local equivalent of same
  • Minimum of 4 -7 years' experience in an engineering or technical role
  • Experience developing microservices in cloud environment with C# .NET and or node.js technologies
  • Demonstrable understanding of object-oriented development, multi-threading and data structures
  • Experience developing secure HTTPS REST Application Programming Interfaces (APIs)
  • Experience building responsible UI web applications using React, Angular, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript
  • Working knowledge of CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions
  • Experience persisting structured and non-structured data using Microsoft SQL Server and MongoDB or CosmosDB
  • Ability to work in a team environment using Agile methods to work together to accomplish shared goals
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to articulate changes to software for design reviews and code reviews
  • Experience developing commercial product software
  • Experience using enterprise service bus communications (Preferred)
  • Experience using Entity Framework (Preferred)
