Modeling and Simulation Subject Matter Expert (SME) Supporting the Most Exciting and Meaningful Missions in the World Modeling and Simulation Subject Matter Expert (SME) The Modeling and Simulation (M&S) SME will build on existing unit modeling and simulation capability by leveraging existing infrastructure to build a library of simulated environments and vignettes to train personnel on employment of M&S capability in support of exercises. Vignettes will encompass simulated friendly and partner force actions, threat activity, personnel recovery, passive and dynamic targeting and fires employment. The M&S SME will also model the existing physical environment to build simulations that drive live responses by the participants. Specific Duties include:- Identifying courses of action for simulation integration
- Conducting detailed planning and coordination with higher and adjacent elements to include exercise program operations and intelligence scriptwriters
- Building realistic models that support training to enable live, virtual, and synthetic environments at the tactical, operational, and theater / strategic level
- Building simulations supporting desired training scenarios and vignettes
- Coordinating with contracted scenario development personnel to ensure continuity between M&S generated products, unit readiness exercise, and other scenarios
- Developing operational and tactical training environments, vignettes, battle rhythms, and scenarios to exercise force and advanced technology integration and Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTP) development
- Providing reports and reviews to unit leadership and the exercise control group on the utility and employment of M&S
- Minimum of two (2) years' work experience in planning, developing and execution of Digital Virtual Training Environment (DVTE) or M&S-based military training within a Joint National Training Capability (JNTC) accredited or Service-level exercise program
- One (1) year prior military service as an M&S Officer or Specialist (O3-O6 or E7-E9)
- Accredited formal education, certificate, bachelor's or master's degree in M&S or DVTE systems, theory and application desired
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills and the ability to multi-task
- Possession of a valid U.S. driver's license
- Thorough understanding of SOF capabilities, support and operations
- Active Secret Clearance at time of application.
