- It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Cary office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model

- Employ a range of techniques to analyze problems and evaluate multiple solutions against engineering, business, & strategic criteria
- Design and drive adoption of a messaging blueprint and solution selection criteria for the Bank's trading plant
- Based on this, deliver end to end first-class engineering solutions across a messaging platforms UltraMessaging, TIBCO, Rendezvous, and/or Solace
- Improve delivery standards, working practices, tools & solutions, and driving adoption of automation tools
- Experience with tuning/configuring/administering deployments with Informatica UltraMessaging, TIBCO, Rendezvous, and/or Solace, as well as experience working with geographically distributed deployments of applications leveraging multicast messaging
- Networking knowledge: Ethernet basics, TCP/IP administration (routing, firewalls, etc), packet capture technology
- Good knowledge of SQL-based database technologies, at least one of - PostgresSQL, KDB+, InfluxDB
- Experience with application development primarily with Python, but also Java and JavaScript frameworks such as HTML5, Spring, AngularJS, Durandal, etc
- Understanding of software development lifecycle; experience developing/architecting front office trading systems would be considered a plus
