We are looking for
Java Automation Test Engineer (Kafka) for our client in Cary, NC Job Title: Java Automation Test Engineer (Kafka) Job Location: Cary, NC Job Type: Contract Job Description: Required Experience and Skills:- A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience developing and/or testing Microservices written in JAVA and using Spring Boot framework.
- A minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience with testing frameworks– Selenium, Karate, and tools such as Cucumber.
- A minimum of 2 years of hands-on backend testing experience for databases, APIs using SoapUI, Postman, etc.
- A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment tools such as Jenkins, TeamCity.
- Experience working with Jira for test case management and defect management.
- Experience using version control software such as GitHub, Bitbucket, SVN, etc.
- Experience performing different types of Non-Functional Testing (Stress, Performance) using tools such as Gatling, Loadrunner, etc.
- A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with Kafka message/event stream-processing or JMS.
- A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with Oracle 12c or higher.
- Hands-on experience with Application performance Management Software such as AppDynamics and/or Splunk is preferred.
- Experience working in an agile team that is practicing Scrum and/or Kanban.
- Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and/or and writing automated tests.
- Hands-on experience testing solutions that are deployed on Linux Rhel6.x or higher OS.
- Sound understanding of data structures and algorithms.
- Experience with enterprise search platforms such as Elastic/Solr+ is preferred.
- Experience with Hadoop (Spark, HBASE, Impala) is a plus.
- UI Testing experience for React components is a plus.
- Sound understanding of SDLC process.
