Preparing journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, and general ledger reconciliation and being responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close will be essential for this role. Major responsibilities Produce journal entries and perform the month end close under minimal supervision
Recurring journal entries maintenance and reconciliation
In-depth knowledge of reconciling month end balance sheet accounts
Assist in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation
Prepare monthly balance sheet and income statement analyses for management reporting
Contribute to the implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
Coordinate and analyze a variety of financial data, then report it in a way that is useful and understandable
Billings, transactions, and reconciliation
Ad hoc reporting and performing special projects upon request
Participate in various department-wide initiatives
Prepare complex journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll Requirements - Account reconciliation experience preferred
Deep understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)
Well-founded grasp of Microsoft Excel
Comprehensive knowledge of financial statement preparation
Foundational knowledge in budget forecasting
Proven knowledge of Quickbooks Online
Variance analysis experience
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
3+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience
Proficient with spreadsheets and databases
Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision
Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
Knowledgeable of ERP systems
Vow to meet business deadlines
