Job Title: Analyst I Operations Job Location:- Cary, NC, United States Job Type: Contact Responsibilities The successful candidate will also support the EPMO Leadership Team in the implementation and use of consistent reporting standards (procedures, processes, standards, templates) that are owned and utilized by the EPMO. Support to EPMO Leaders, Program & Project Managers is a key component of the role. Identify & implement best practices with EPMO team members, enabling ongoing organizational improvements. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead the successful tracking and monitoring of the global project portfolio within scope of the EPMO ,including management of the portfolio intake process (demand management), approved costs and benefits (financial management), and communications (reporting).
  • Demand Management
  • Manage & monitor the demand for EPMO services and corresponding organizational integrations
  • Coordinate the content & participants of the Opportunity Review Board (ORB)
  • Facilitate the ORB including capturing approvals and actions
  • Support approvals of small and/or simple investments outside of the ORB (eg via email approvals)
  • Support off-cycle ORBs as need
  • Create project records for all approved ideas
  • Financial Management
  • Ensure alignment of project approved costs as recognized by finance and approved budgets tracked in the EPMO
  • Ensure alignment of validated qualifiable benefits
  • Enable monthly cost actuals to be reflected on projects and reconcile differences between finance and the projects
  • Support the Vendor Management Office to ensure Statements of Work are aligned to approved projects
  • Monitor areas of significant portfolio risk, in conjunction with leadership, recommend & implement resolution
  • Ensure project consistency in management of costs and benefits by monitoring adherence to standards and providing support and consultation directly to project managers
  • Support the EPMO by way of training, communicating, coordinating, troubleshooting, and reviewing as needed
  • Analysis & Reporting
  • Own key communications with Finance, the Transformation Office, Vendor Management, and other stakeholders
  • Respond to on demand analysis and ad hoc reporting requests as required by leadership
  • Produce Portfolio and Executive summary reports (e.g. weekly portfolio changes, weekly alignment of committed costs with the Vendor Management Office, month end report in support of project capitalization, monthly review of project cost actuals and amortizations, validation of benefits with Finance and the Transformation Office, Ad Hoc as required
  • Gather, inspect and analyze portfolio metrics as needed
  • Proactively & regularly recommend process, metrics & reporting improvements
  • Process Management
  • Collaborate in conjunction with the EPMO Governance & Operations area to evolve key organizational enablers (SP sites, Teams Sites, Org Charts, Communications, etc.)
  • Contribute to the development of new and improved EPMO processes and procedures; support & prioritize
  • Maintain quality standards and templates; apply improvements

  • Proven success working under changing priorities and meeting deadlines
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite: Excel PowerPoint, SharePoint and Teams
