Job Description

BASIC FUNCTIONS

Identify trends, periodically analyze equipment/machine problems, perform necessary adjustments on manufacturing equipment, identify root causes and initiate corrective actions.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

(denotes essential functions as defined by ADA)

  • Coordinate efforts between operations and engineering functions
  • Set up spare parts, optimize preventative maintenance, keep process parameters updated
  • Identify best practices and create standards combining available information & knowledge.
  • Follow plant safety and environmental policies, and keep work areas clean and orderly
  • Utilize plant systems e.g. SAP, MES, OPCON, Promaster, Tableau, etc.
  • Utilize International Production Network from other Boschresources where necessary
  • Trouble-shooting equipment-related electrical issues

$5K Sign-On Bonus Plus Relocation Available

INTERACTION

This position interacts with Operators, OperationsTechnicians, Specialized Technicians, Manufacturing Engineers and Leadership

Qualifications

  • Mechatronics training preferred
  • Electrical/electronics background, working with PLCs, drive systems, etc.
  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Must be at least 18 years or older
  • Minimum two years of experience in manufacturing assembly or machining
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with supervision and other personnel with the ability to create clear technical instructions
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel)
  • Must be able to function in a noisy and fast paced environment
  • Demonstrates self-initiative
  • Minimum two years of experience in manufacturing assembly or machining
  • Basic knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, print-reading and mechanics
  • Must demonstrate mechanical proficiency, leadership ability, and teamwork
  • Must be willing to work on alternate shifts and must demonstrate the ability to adapt to changes
  • Must be flexible to work other shifts for training, coaching, projects and travel as needed

Rexroth Torque System knowledge/troubleshooting

Cab printer knowledge

Staeubli Robot troubleshooting

Cognex Vision System knowledge

NeuroCheck Vision System knowledge

Press/Staking Process knowledge
