Treasury Data Services team within Finance Technology consists of extremely talented engineers, who develop industry leading data services solutions in support of multiple Data Warehouses providing quality, controlled data consisting of end of day and intraday fixed income and derivative trading positions and other financial data for our front office, middle office, market risk and finance business partners.

We are looking for looking for a talented and highly motivated Data Architect with a strong background in dimensional data modeling and experience designing and building enterprise data warehouses. The right candidate will be instrumental in leading efforts to modernize our data architecture and help deliver functionality to the Treasury business to be more effective managing the banks funding and investment activities.

ROLE OVERVIEW:

Enterprise Finance Technology's Data Horizontal team is looking for motivated new talent to enhance the architecture, data model and data capabilities of the Corporate Investments Data Warehouse (CIDW).
  • The incumbent will contribute to a range of initiatives by helping teams build strong technical foundations and enabling future business strategy.
  • Provide technical support and guidance for teams building high-performance, integrated and controlled data integration solutions.
  • Acts as both an individual contributor and as a seasoned technical resource able to provide technical direction to development teams.
  • This incumbent will help the team craft data solutions to meet business and enterprise requirements and lead data modeling efforts.
  • While our core stack is currently Informatica / Oracle / SQL, we are exploring new big data methods of moving data using Python, PySpark, Airflow and Rules Engines.

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Strong background in Dimensional Data Modeling (E.g. Kimball Methodology, star schema, snowflake, normalization forms)
  • Experience designing and building data warehouses and knowledge of the data flows involved
  • Solid background in Data Warehouse / Data Mart / Business Intelligence delivery
  • Experience with ETL and the patterns involved in transforming data into a form easily digestible for business users
  • Bachelor's degree in STEM related field

PREFERRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience with Oracle Exadata and background in solving database performance issues and the skill to design high performing data models
  • Knowledge of Capital Markets and Finance and how to represent in a data model
  • Experience using a data modeling tool (e.g. Power Designer, Erwin)
  • Programming experience in Python, PySpark (Pandas, DataFrames)
  • Previous experience using an ETL tool such as Informatica
  • Knowledge of Linux, bash, Perl
  • Previous experience with Rules Engines (e.g. Sapiens)
