Seeking experienced Quality Lab and Test Engineer who will be responsible for managing desktop test equipment and conducting proof of concept for software updates with production users. The objective of this position is to support our testing practice by ensuring all test equipment is operational and current prior to testing. In addition, this role will facilitate testing for software upgrades to validate no production impact when updates are installed. This position resides in the bank's End User Services organization which provides technology services to the 250k+ employees around the world.

Job Description / Key Responsibilities

• Own and manage desktop test environments across all lanes and product areas• Partner with Service Validation Testing teams to ensure test environment is built, configured, and operational according to test requirements and schedule• Collaborate with product engineering groups to build and update test lanes as new products and product updates are released• Maintain accurate and up to date inventory of all lab equipment including hardware, build version, and software• Manage scheduling of equipment in support of testing across multiple testing teams• Carry out system administration tasks such as software installation/updates, security patches, and hardware maintenance• Trouble shoot and address issues as required.• Coordinate proof of concept testing in coordination with POC leader. Tasks involve ensuring updates are pushed out to participants desktops, confirming updates installed as expected, and confirming no issues experienced on desktop post install.• On site at lab is required

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of experience managing/administering desktop and server hardware including software installation and troubleshooting; ideally in a lab or similar environment• Basic understanding of networking technologies • Ability to work independently without close supervision. • Detail oriented, well organized, and extremely reliable.• Must be adept at undertaking and completing tasks independently, meeting schedules and delivery timelines. • Exceptional analytical/critical thinking abilities - must be able to develop methods of effectively testing technology• Strong communication skills - must be able to present findings to broad audiences inclusive of senior technology and business management, requiring the ability to explain complex technical matters in a way both technical and non-technical personnel can understand.• Ability to collaborate with teams at all levels including onshore and offshore personnel in different time zones: Line of Business, Operations, Technology Infrastructure, Platform Engineering, Vendor• Experience developing policies, processes and procedures• Strong knowledge of desktop platforms, particularly in Windows environment• Detail-oriented, quality focused• Self-starter, good communication skills
