Position Summary

Workday Functional Architect - Payroll and Payroll Interfaces will have responsibility for the successful implementation, integration, and customization of the Workday application from change feasibility to roll-out. The successful candidate will have business process architect experience gathering requirements, designing, delivering, and supporting business transformation using Workday in areas of Payroll and Payroll Interfaces. They will have proven subject matter expertise and driven decision making related to the functional solution, understanding its impact to other areas of the application.

Required Skills

•-Architect/Develop and implement scalable, flexible solutions that are extensible to future business needs in areas of Payroll, Payroll Interfaces, and Security.•-Conduct working sessions with users to gather, understand, and analyze business requirements.•-Provide subject matter expertise on key business process decisions.•-Advise stakeholders on industry standards, providing suggestions to achieve clean configuration and streamlined processes.•-Design and implement Workday requirements for Payroll. Partner with the Integration team for the Payroll Interfaces.•-Demonstrate creative solutions and configurations using prototyping.•-Understand Workday's Implementation Methodology and use it on all projects.•-Work with developers, project managers, business analysts, and quality assurance staff to ensure that they fully understand the requirements, which includes reviewing high-level technical designs and detailed testing documentation.•-Serve as the Payroll and Payroll Interfaces Workday SME when working with members of the Integration Team. Experience with integrations a requirement.•-Document technology specifications for current and future configuration.•-Work in collaboration with other Workday team members on the requirements, design specifications, development, testing, and successful deployment of the Integration solution•-Serve as an escalation point for critical functional issue resolution for Payroll and Payroll Interfaces.•-Act as the Payroll and Payroll Interfaces domain lead for feature releases and issue resolution, working with business users, IT, vendors and other support teams to define scope, prioritize, plan and implement system changes and enhancements.•-Architect Workday Payroll and Payroll Interfaces solutions to ensure that all work streams are cohesive and cross functional impacts are considered and mitigated.•-Provide stakeholder(s) with status updates and keep them apprised of overall domain status.•-Demonstrate strong project management skills, deep analytical capabilities, creativity of a solution architect and process orientation of a functional expert.•-Maintain data integrity in systems by running queries, analyzing data, and working with the HR Data COE & HR Reporting COE team(s) to evaluate gaps.

Desired Skills

•-Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience enough to perform the key accountabilities of the job required•-7+ years of experience with HCM & Payroll systems•-5+ years of experience with Workday HCM including Payroll, Payroll Interfaces, and Security•-3+ years of experience with project management•-Workday Pro or Workday Certifications strongly preferred•-Knowledge of Payroll, Payroll Interface, and HCM processes•-Knowledge of touch points within Payroll and the various other Workday modules•-Deep understanding of Workday Payroll security•-Deep understanding of Workday data model, corporate system architecture, interfaces, reporting, and data loading procedures•-Attention to detail and relentless commitment to follow-through•-Ability to convey ideas and recommendations to a wide variety of audiences at all levels in a clear, compelling and succinct way in written and verbal communications•-Strong expertise in cloud-based multi-tenant systems•-Strong ability to work with others on solutions
