Job Summary/Company:

Sparks Group has partnered with a large logistics solutions company and together we are searching for a Logistics Analyst to join their managed services team. The successful candidate will be proficient in receiving and extracting raw data from various sources and converting the data into consistent formats in order to perform analysis and reporting. Responsibilities:

  • Gathering and extracting logistics data from various sources
  • Convert raw data into consistent formats
  • Utilizing formatted data, perform important necessary analysis and generate reports
  • Master software programs and databases for rating, mapping, and optimization
  • Develop and manage ongoing data tracking spreadsheets
  • Provide standardized mode reports to the procurement team
  • Calculating and publishing savings metrics for clients
  • Assist in data manipulation for new business analysis

Qualifications/Background Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in the Data/Computer Science, Logistics, Business or Engineering field
  • 3-5 years relevant work experience
  • Excellent data analysis skills using desktop computer tools and software, including advanced proficiency in MS Access and MS Excel
  • Knowledge of logistics data, such as bill of lading information, rate tables, mileage standards, commodity classes, and LTL tariffs is desired
  • Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus
