JOB DESCRIPTION: Translate complex cross-functional business requirements and functional specifications into logical program designs, code modules, stable application systems, and software solutions; partners with Product Team to understand business needs and functional specifications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure specifications are converted into flexible, scalable, and maintainable solution designs; evaluates project deliverables to ensure they meet specifications and architectural standards. Guide application and software development teams in the design and build of complex solutions and ensures that teams are in alignment with the architecture blueprint, standards, target state architecture, and strategies. Coordinate, execute, and participate in component integration (CIT) scenarios, systems integration testing (SIT), and user acceptance testing (UAT) to identify application errors and to ensure quality software deployment. Participate and coaches others in all software development end-to-end product lifecycle phases by applying and sharing an in-depth understanding of complex company and industry methodologies, policies, standards, and controls. Make technical trade-off decisions at application level. Automate and simplify team development, test, and operations processes; develop detailed architecture plans for large scale enterprise architecture projects and drives the plans to fruition. Solve complex architecture/design and business problems; solutions are extensible; works to simplify, optimize, remove bottlenecks, etc. Provide mentoring and guidance to more junior level engineers; may provide feedback and direction on specific engineering tasks. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job requires a Master's Degree in Computer Science, CIS, Engineering or a related field and 2 years of experience in software development or a related field OR a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, CIS, Engineering or a related field and 5 years of experience in software development or a related field. Employer will accept a single degree or combination of degrees, diplomas, and/or professional experience equivalent to a U.S. Bachelor's degree. Must have the following prior experience: 2 years of experience in microservices development and open stack technologies including Spring Framework, Spring Boot, REST and SOAP APIs, JavaScript, Nodejs, Oracle and/or NOSQL Databases, Java, Angular and/or React; 2 years of experience working with Continuous Integration/ Continuous Deployment tools including Maven, Gradle, Jenkins, Sonar, Docker and/or managing infrastructure with application integration middleware; and 2 years of experience in test driven development and deployment With Agile methodologies & DevOps culture.
