Job Summary:This role supports select Technology Business Management processes from within the DISC Operations team. You will deliver value through:

  • execution of projects, processes, and activities hyper-focused on organizational effectiveness
  • driving efficient product- and engineering-centric cultures of tech delivery
  • orchestration of demonstration-based awareness and engagement events
The ideal candidate for this role:
  • Is passionate about improving business and technology team operations
  • Can identify and implement fit-for-purpose process solutions to drive organizational efficiencies; and
  • Can effectively collaborate and influence change without authority.
You will work mostly independently and can provide guidance and direction to business/support partners, team members, and peers or leadership across the organizations supported, with the support and at the discretion of the Director, Technology Business Management for DISC Operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supports the Director, Technology Business Management - DISC Operations in the execution of TBM processes to drive compliance and process efficiencies for the DISC (DACI, Innovation, & Supply Chain) Technology organizations.
  • Identifies and executes process improvements within the following Technology Business Management process domains: Technology Resource Management & Business Operations; Technology Compliance; Technology Operational Excellence
  • Provides feedback and direction on specific tasks to business/support partners, team members, and peers or leadership across the organizations supported, with the support and at the discretion of the Director, Technology Business Management for DISC Operations
  • Analyzes data to detect trends, make recommendations, and provide reporting
  • Leads activities to assess adherence to the business management processes supported
  • Answers questions and gathers feedback about the business management processes supported
  • Identifies and documents process measures, issues and opportunities, and waste in the processes supported
  • Identifies opportunities for process improvements and makes recommendations for best practices
  • Contributes to and helps maintain process documentation
  • Develops relationships with cross-functional teams including finance and legal to ensure processes remain compliant with company regulations
  • Manages relationships with mid-level leaders and business partners and sponsors to help them understand business cases and to foster a culture of continuous improvement across the enterprise
  • Assists with preparing communication material for CIO leadership team

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, CIS, Business Administration, Finance or related field (or equivalent work experience in related field)
  • 4 years of experience in Technology, Finance/Accounting, Procurement, Business, Operations or related area
  • 1 year of experience leading small to medium technology or cross-functional teams
  • 1 year of experience in project management tools and methodologies
  • 2 years of experience analyzing data to detect trends, make recommendations, and provide reporting

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Technology experience in the Retail industry
  • Experience collaborating with international teams
  • Experience in an IT role requiring interaction with senior management
  • Experience working in a large matrixed organization
  • Experience in technology infrastructure including an understanding of how engineering, software development lifecycle, database, architecture, and configuration management database support each other to run a technology organization
  • 2 years of experience with IT delivery, development and operational processes and methodologies including portfolio planning, program/project management, and agile software development
  • Experience writing technical documentation or standard operating procedures • Experience using data analysis and content presentation tools including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, SharePoint, and PowerBI
  • Experience in lean six sigma methodologies
