Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in Charlotte, North Carolina. The primary function of this role is to provide financial, administrative, and clerical support by ensuring payments are completed and expenses are controlled by receiving payments, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices in an efficient, timely, and accurate manner.Responsibilities: Manage the process of matching, batching, and coding invoices for entry into the accounting software system. Maintain weekly account payable reports and ensure all financial data is accurate. Handle the processing and recording of payable invoices in the system and ensure all transactions are up-to-date. Use Microsoft Excel for managing and updating customer-related data. Address and resolve customer inquiries and discrepancies promptly. Oversee the account payable check processing and ensure all payments are completed in a timely manner. Utilize SAP for various accounting functions and keep the data up-to-date. Manage the process of reconciling invoices to the general ledger and ensure all financial data aligns. Regularly monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions when needed. Maintain accurate customer credit records and ensure all the data is current and valid. Requirements Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems such as SAP Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions Experience in Accounts Payable (AP) processes Familiarity with Check Processing procedures Ability to identify and resolve Discrepancies in financial records Experience in handling Payable Invoices Demonstrated ability to manage Weekly Account Payable tasks Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field preferred Relevant professional certification, such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA), would be an asset.
