Agile Scrum Master

job summary:

• The Agile Scrum Master is responsible for end-to-end management and delivery of a material change for a project of high complexity across multiple departments within a single business unit. The Scrum Master facilitates the team-level Agile methodology & activities, enables the work efforts of resources that are functionally aligned as part of the project team.
• The Scrum Master is responsible for assessing & improving the various work streams feeding teams resulting in sustainable pace & high quality delivery of working software. The position specific responsibilities include:
• Leads the daily SCRUM meetings of the Agile project team and partners with the product owner to lead the team.
• Removes impediments to the ability of the team to deliver and is keenly focused on the activities and progress of the Agile team through their Sprint Commitments and PI Objectives. Tracks team progess through burndown charts, cumulative flow diagrams, and train program board updates.
• Works with individual team members to understand challenges & identify unrealized potential. Is or can become proficient with Jira and its integration with other Client tools for project & change management. Collaborates with other Scrum Masters and the Release Train Engineer on train-level practices, especially PI Planning, & improvements. Advises manager and other product stakeholders regarding internal & external challenges to the team capabilities.
