In the role of

Lead Infrastructure Architect (IBM), you will be part of an

IBM ranger team to build, deliver, and scale Insight's advanced services with IBM Cloud. You will work as part of our incubation team as part of the CTO organization, with direct exposure to Insight's executive team. Insight has a deep track record as both an IBM and Red Hat partner - winning numerous partner of the year awards. However, as IBM transitions to hybrid and public cloud, there is significant opportunity for Insight to become more services/solutions oriented. The ranger team will be responsible for launching this capability, winning strategic work, architecting critical client solutions, and scaling our delivery practices. In this role, you will lead the build out of our cloud infrastructure team for IBM, responsible for architecting hybrid solutions with IBM Cloud. You will work with other members of the ranger team for apps and data to drive modern, innovative solutions in the IBM Cloud. Candidates must have deep experience working with IBM / Red Hat products, while also possessing a strong track record with pre-sales.

Essential duties:

Serve as subject matter expert for hybrid, networking, compute, and storage for IBM Cloud.
Work closely with Insight sales teams to identify opportunities, deal shape, and drive customer wins.
Mentor other resources as Insight builds delivery scale within our solution areas.
Manage the planning and implementation of strategic customer engagements.
Refine solution offerings and sales plays for repeatability and success.
Serve as a thought leader to customers, recommending best of breed solutions with IBM Cloud.
Deliver client workshops and strategic webinars to drive demand and provide thought leadership.
Review progress with Insight and IBM executive teams.
Grow Insight's knowledge base and IP with IBM Cloud

Required Knowledge/Experience:

Willingness to travel, as necessary (20% post pandemic)
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
Certifications in relevant technologies, cloud providers, or demonstration of ongoing learning.
7+ years of experience in delivering services, products, offerings, and/or solution development.
Deep experience in delivering IBM Red Hat solutions and IBM Cloud Paks.
Deep experience with network topologies, security, and architectures.
Hands-on experience delivering public cloud infrastructure solution.
Experience in large-scale application modernization including Kubernetes/container architectures and deployment.
DevOps/automation knowledge in the context of migration to the cloud.
Strong consulting skills - pre-sales, proposal writing, public speaking, go-to-markets, technical project management, and learning new technologies.

Compensation is determined by fair market value: $160,000 to $180,000 base pay plus bonus. Candidates outside of this provided compensation range will be considered.
