CapTech Ventures, Inc. is looking for a

Compliance Specialistto join its Enterprise Risk Management Team to support CapTech’s ongoing Contract, HR and company compliance activities as well as the implementation and development of new compliance efforts as requirements change or grow. The Compliance Specialist will be primarily responsible for ensuring these efforts align with CapTech core values and with applicable regulatory and legal requirements, including: 1) CapTech’s internal policies; 2) CapTech’s compliance practices, processes and policies; and 3) audit and due diligence activities relating to CapTech’s client and vendor contracts. The Compliance Specialist will develop new policies and manage existing policies according to an enterprise Policy Governance Framework. This Compliance Specialist reports to CapTech’s Enterprise Risk Lead and will work closely with the Contract Management, Risk, Finance, IT, HR and Account Management teams.

  • Prepare, maintain, organize, and track materials relating to CapTech’s Contract and HR compliance efforts, including policies and procedures, corporate filings, legal holds, CapTech’s Business Continuity Plan, and other materials prepared by CapTech’s Risk Team, such as compliance plans, meeting materials and online compliance calendars.
  • Administer, track and train CapTech employees in compliance initiatives and required trainings (including New Hire and other CapTech compliance training and annual compliance certifications).
  • Act as key player in a team environment through all phases of compliance related projects
  • Provide connection between business, operational, internal and client facing team members to ensure that high quality and impactful solutions are produced.
  • Promote a strong code of ethics and integrity within the Company’s operations.
  • Identify potential compliance-related risks and assist with developing processes to minimize or alleviate.
  • Assist the Enterprise Risk and other internal operations teams to ensure that Company policies and processes are compliant with applicable federal and state laws and regulations.
  • Assist with drafting policies, procedures and the ongoing maintenance of such documents.
  • Interact with employees at all levels to raise awareness of compliance trends, emerging issues, remedial actions and enhancements to Company policies and procedures.
  • Conduct internal compliance reviews.
  • Partner with the Enterprise Risk Team to ensure appropriate implementation and/or corrective action is taken to address risks and issues identified.
  • Coordinate Company’s response to client audit requests.
  • Develop, maintain and improve processes to manage client onboarding and client contract compliance obligations.
  • Quickly become familiar with CapTech’s business challenges and technologies in order to act as a SME and project lead for compliance related initiatives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 4years' experience in corporate compliance (familiarity with SOC and other privacy-related issues a plus)
  • Provenability to work with multiple stakeholders across the business in a fast pace environment.
  • Experience working with the external auditor and regulatory agencies preferred.
  • Proven ability to take initiative, and move daily work forward with intellectual curiosity, enthusiasm, and flexibility.
  • Strong organizational skills are necessary to document and track issues from inception to resolution.
  • Good judgment in prioritizing and completing tasks, and in seeking guidance when needed
  • A strong sense of ownership and responsibility.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and research skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Assist in the development of training materials and conduct training.
  • Ability to build rapport and interface with key internal partners and CapTech clients in order to facilitate the continued success of CapTech’s enterprise-wide compliance program.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Ability to respond to shifting priorities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
