About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking an Investment Banking Program Analyst as part of Corporate & Investment Banking within its Ratings Advisory Group. Learn more about our career areas and lines of business at wellsfargojobs.com.In this role, you will:Provide ratings advice across industry groups and product lines (Debt, Equity, Banking, Sponsors, Leveraged Finance and Investment Grade, M&A, Product Development)

Work on client projects related to the rating process, rating agency management meetings and expected ratings for new capital markets transactions, strategic corporate advisory, debt capacity, equity hybrids, new rating agency methodologies, notching (individual issue ratings) and optimal capital structure

Work on analysis that involves transaction-based guidance (M&A), debut debt issuance and, if relevant, capital products development

Work on automation of certain rating agency functions (such as ratings scorecards) to help bankers incorporate ratings discussions into client dialogue

Receive direction from a manager and exercise independent judgment while developing understanding of compliance and risk management requirements for the supported area

Assist in delivering ratings advice to bankers and clients on ratings process and potential outcomes, including as it relates to rating agency financial statement adjustments

Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals

Maintain close rating agency relationships

Required Qualifications:6+ months of Investment Banking Program experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:Undergraduate degree from a four-year accredited college or university

Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

6+ months of capital markets experience

6+ months of financial services industry experience

Prior investment banking or capital markets experience is a plus

Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment

Willingness to work long hours in a demanding, highly focused collaborative and fast paced team environment with a sense of personal accountability and urgency for achieving results

Job Expectations:Registration FINRA Series 63 (or 66) must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.

Registration for FINRA Series 79 must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.

Registration for Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
