Our client, one of the largest banks in the US with wealth management, investment banking, and international business, is seeking a Finance Analyst

Location: Charlotte, NC

Position Type: IT-Contract

Job Summary:

Develop and leverage knowledge of Securities, Book data, Bloomberg, and SQL to support Treasury's data needs drives and participates in design, development, and implementation of future Treasury data controls

Job Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain relationships, including across Treasury, technology, project management, and risk/compliance
  • Assist team with data analysis and ensure quality of outputs; interface with Treasury partners on their data needs, requirements for new data requests, track and prioritize changes
  • Improve Treasury Data Management functions for production, data governance, data change and regulatory/audit activities
  • Create and maintain required documentation and evidence to ensure adherence to EDM Standards and RDA requirements
  • Work under minimal supervision on Corporate Treasury projects that require creative solutions under very tight deadlines
  • Validate data and signs off on reports within test environments to confirm application accuracy, functionality and EDM Standards are met
  • Create reporting for senior management that proactively provides project status, issue / enhancement tracking and project implementation
  • Investigate data quality issues and support remediation plan development, execution, and validation

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's in accounting/finance/business or related fields
  • 3+ years of data management/analysis, database, and product expertise within the financial industry
  • Business acumen ability to bridge business and technical topics
  • Strong partnering and communication abilities
  • Able to self-direct/prioritize tasks, detailed oriented, organized
  • Curious and independent thinker with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Proficient with SQL, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Corporate Treasury or Middle Office experience
  • Familiarity with securities & book data and Bank of America platforms (PME, Book map)
  • Exposure to data & project management (including Agile methodology)
  • Data management/analytical
  • Securities Background
  • Working knowledge of SQL / Excel
