Title : IT Scrum Master

Location: Charlotte, NC

Overview: Seeking an IT Scrum Master with 1-4 years of experience working alongside and motivating technical teams.

Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Agile methodologies and concepts to manage DSS team's workload and projects effectively, resolve problems, and coach team members on Agile methodologies.
  • Conduct Agile Scrum ceremonies (daily standups, backlog refinement, sprint planning, Kanban, retrospectives)
  • Lead the estimating and prioritization activities for new data management and reporting requests
  • Develop, administer, and manage Jira boards, workflows, and issues
  • Motivate a team to self-organize while fostering collaborative team environments
  • Effectively cultivate productive and engaging relationships and communication with DSS leaders and enterprise stakeholders such as business units and IT.
  • Lead with a "customer first" servant attitude while collaborating with product management, business partners and technology teams in translating the product vision into a workable plan
  • Demonstrate a passion for driving process improvements that empower teams to be more efficient
  • Passionately innovate, problem solve, and provide solutions for challenges
  • Track and report progress, risks, and issues

Mandatory Skills:
  • 1-3 years of Scrum Master experience
  • 3+ years managing projects
  • 3+ years of information technology experience
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or related certification strongly preferred
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies, values, and procedures.
  • Experience working with both agile and waterfall methodologies on large scale, technically complex projects.
  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and technologies associated with UI and API Development.
  • Data driven analysis skills for measuring and managing delivery.
  • Experience with relevant business software (e.g. Microsoft Office applications, Team Foundation Server).
  • Experience using Microsoft Team Foundation Server Agile, Jira, Confluence or similar tool.
  • Able to use Clarity/Open Workbench tool to determine how the intersection of multiple projects and programs impacts the department, and to develop departmental budgets.
  • Must be self-motivated as well as creative and efficient in proposing solutions to complex, time-critical problems.
  • Highly adaptable to a changing environment.
  • Excellent team player with the ability to influence and negotiate.
  • Ability to understand and communicate technical issues.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse teams.
  • Situational awareness of when to listen and when to be assertive.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Ability to keep team engaged and on task.
