Jr. Business Analyst / Item Data Maintenance Specialist consultant for a 6 month contract position with our retail client located in:

Charlotte, NC.

Jr Business Analyst / Item Data Maintenance SpecialistExecutes all aspects of item lifecycle and digital asset maintenance once an item has been successfully onboarded.Two Areas of Support:
  • Support set up, maintenance and other support for PVS (Product Variant Selling); creating the variant relationship, maintaining them in systems, and supporting Brand Advocates and Suppliers
  • Support the set-up of Collections in systems and provide support to Brand Advocates and Merchants with questions and follow up on collection requests
  • This role executes enterprise item maintenance processes and is responsible for the ongoing upkeep of the health of the item repository.
  • This role also identifies and participates in efforts to improve maintenance processes.
  • This role is responsible for the oversight and upkeep of the digital asset experience.
  • Executes item lifecycle processes and identifies process improvement opportunities.
  • Partners with the right teams for any issues needing resolution, in regards to item data maintenance.
  • Supports in the execution of efforts to put new processes in place to enhance our ability to maintain the library of items.
  • Responsible for understanding the merchandising process and causes/reasons for item status changes as well as other actions taken against items related to pricing/markdowns, promotions, inventory availability, and fulfillment.
  • Experience in product data management or retail industry
  • Extensive MS Excel knowledge and application

Responsibilities:
  • Determine, implement, and evaluate business metrics to meet ongoing organizational needs.
  • Analyze and report on complex data sets.
  • Communicate complex data in comprehensible ways.
  • Critically evaluate information from multiple sources and indicate quality of final analysis.
  • Acts as a liaison between IT and business units by opening and maintaining lines of communication to monitor and improve business unit satisfaction with IT,
  • Provides a single point of contact for business units into IT and acts as a conduit between the two organizations.
  • Review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user needs.
  • Document requirements, defines scope and objectives, and formulates systems to parallel overall business strategies.
  • Conduct preliminary investigation for all project requests.
  • Review requirements, specifications, test, support and training plans to ensure they are in line with business objectives on projects.
  • Collect and analyze metrics, and continually improve processes owned by the group.
  • Assist in root cause analysis to recommend product enhancements to improve productivity for business unit and IT.

Requirements:
  • BS in Business Administration, Computer Science, CIS or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in business analysis in a related field

Preferred Requirements:
  • Master s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, CIS or related field
  • Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP) or Certification of Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA).
  • 2+ years of work experience in a business role requiring interaction with executive leadership.
  • 2+ years of work experience working on cross-functional project teams.
