Position Summary:The Senior Database Administrator will be primarily responsible for maintaining, development and production Oracle databases for the Remedy Application. Performance tuning, troubleshooting and customer support will be key components of this role.

Essential Job Functions: The Sr Database Administrator must have a background with production support including troubleshooting and performance analysis both with command line tools and OEM User Interfaces. In this position, the primary focus will be administrating Oracle Databases for the Remedy Application. Good command line SQL and shell scripting skills as well as experience with PL/SQL programming and debugging are required. Skills in database backup, copy, extraction (RMAN, expdp, impdp, etc) are essential. Familiarity with data warehousing and data mart operations as well as replication with Cloudera Hadoop. Prior experience in installation, patching, upgrade and migration of Hadoop and Oracle databases and their underlying operating system is required.

Required Qualifications: • Mentoring less experienced team members• Production Support• Remedy IT Service Management Suite• Oracle 11g and 12c• Performance Analysis with Command Line Tools and UI• Shell Scripting and PL/SQL programming• ETL process development• Data warehousing/DataMart• System and database installation, patching, upgrades and migration

Preferred Qualifications:• Working experience with Sales Force, Granite and Remedy.• Working knowledge of languages Python and Perl• Experience with agile software lifecycles, including scrum.• Understanding of basic Commercial Telecom operating procedures and methodologies.• Experience with MariaDB, MySQL
