Together we collaborate to create a culturally rich, diverse organization ensuring we remain innovative and agile.The Payroll Specialist is responsible for ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and Local payroll tax and garnishment regulations for the US. This includes:

Partnering with ADP to ensure accurate data entry for multi-state payroll under strict deadlines while ensuring all entries and system outputs are in compliance with all state and federal laws

Ensuring payroll processes follow existing regulations and that new regulations are identified and implemented promptly by our company and/or ADP.

Researching payroll related issues and providing recommendations for remediation and sustainable process improvements within the payroll process.

Resolving escalated employee cases and inquiries.

Supporting other payroll team-members with processing when necessary.

Process Bi-weekly multi-state payrolls for more than 28000 employees

Review payroll inputs from various internal sources, to ensure accurate payroll processing for multiple payrolls

Work with HR team to aggregate employee data relating to new hires, terminations & bonus payments during each pay period to accurately process payroll for that period

Audit current processes to reduce the number of payroll related errors

Validate and Balance RPDEs and submit Batch Totals to ADP per pay group.

Complete Action Items in ADP portal with a list of RPDEs and flagged items to be reviewed by ADP during processing.

Process Legal Agreements

Process vacation for terminated employees

Experience with complex transactions including Inpats, Expats, Stock Options

Supporting Internal/External Audits

Experience working with Service Tickets via Service Now

Experience with Project to include Mergers, Acquisitions, Streamlining Process-Progressive Thinker

Experience in COS Environment

Time and Attendance System Management

Union CBA and Time Configuration

Proven Analytical Skills/ Detailed Oriented

Experience in a Shared Services HR environment

Continuously recommend process Improvement Initiatives

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:Internal Company Processes & Policies

The ability to work independently, part of a team in a fast-paced environment to deliver results to deadlines

Directly interface with ADP to ensure that all Payroll related actions are provided accurately and efficiently.

Respond promptly to inquiries by employees. This may be in the form of audits or correspondence

Provide support on all mergers and divestures.

Will serve as backup to the Puerto Rico team and non-exempt payroll

Monitors internal controls to verify that input and processing of all payroll data including wages, garnishments, applicable wage taxes and other miscellaneous wage/benefit programs, calculations, and deductions meet expectations, in conjunction with best practices.

Creates and reviews audit and management reports at the appropriate time in accordance with the production schedule.

Ongoing Process Improvements

Assists Payroll Manager with the development and maintenance of internal client policy documentation related to payroll processing.

Provides recommendations on changes to policy, procedures or rules that influence or affect the administration of payroll and communicates recommendations and business decisions to the Payroll Manager, as appropriate.

Works with ADP on changes, updates, and/or additions to any current processes, to include areas of processing, Employee Service Center impact and updates to the COS Knowledge Base.

Other Duties (as Necessary)

Works with ADP to research and deliver data related to activities which occurred prior to the start of ADP service delivery.

Required Education & Experience:Education: Minimum of a bachelors degree, or currently in pursuit of degree completion, or equivalent relevant work experience in Human Resources or related discipline with 3 years of experience in Payroll, HR or related discipline (with a masters degree, minimum experience is 1 years)Required Experience:

3 years of experience in Payroll, HR, or related discipline

Strong understanding of Compliance related to Payroll Processing-Wage and Hour Laws (Federal, State, Local)

Ability to prioritize effectively and work under tight deadlines.

High Volume Processing

Strong Excel, Power Point experience

Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills along with high personal integrity, credibility, and energy.

ADP System Experience

Time and Attendance Support via entries, edits, configuration

Union Payroll Processing Experience

Preferred Experience:

Experience in using HR Information Systems (HRIS) for both data storage and analysis

Experience in coordinating and monitoring payroll processing functions or vendors performing these functions

Knowledge of HR business processes through experience working with interdependent groups (i.e., Finance and Human Resources) that are impacted by the payroll process.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related discipline
