Product Owner – Financial ServicesOur client, a Fortune 100 financial services company is seeking top experienced Product Owners for a long-term (2 years) contract assignment. Experience working as a Product Owner role in a SAFe framework is required.Preference will be given to those candidates that can come onsite to the client’s office on a hybrid basis (3 days per week) in

Charlotte, NC or Iselin, NJ. Completely remote will only be considered for a perfect candidate.You can come onboard as our W2 or Independent Contractor (1099).Potential for full time employment with the client. Potential to become a Product Manager down the road.Responsibilities:• Using existing artifacts and team resources come up to speed quickly on client’s product, customer and technology strategy.• Leads team members responsible for solutions for information technology (IT) and business management concerning the application of technology to business opportunities.• Active contributor in PI sessions• Product Owner for 2 SAFe Scrum Teams• Turn the product vision into an actionable backlog• Be the primary business advocate on the scrum team.• Responsible for developing clear and concise Epics and User Stories• Define the product backlog and work with the Scrum Master to groom and prioritize• Work with and report to as needed to senior business managers, product manager, Agile Coach and RTE. Provide project status on a regular basis and identify issues, blockers and solutions.Requirements:• Product Owner or Scrum or SAFe Certification• 3 or more years of experience performing in the role of a Product Owner on Agile projects. SAFe experience is strongly desired.• 5 or more years of Financial Services experience. Pension or retirement services experience is a big plus.• Experience using requirements management tools such as JIRA, JIRA Align• 5 or more years as an IT Business Analyst or systems analyst• Proven leadership abilities including ability to share knowledge, resolve conflicts, and create consensus• Ability to clearly communicate (verbal and written) complex messages to a variety of audiences• Partnership skills and ability to develop effective working relationships with various people in business, operations and IT• Logical and detail oriented, with ability to identify conflicting requirements• Business and technology mindset• Ability to consider both short and long term business needs and IT impacts when developing solutionEducational Requirements• University DegreeWork Experience• 8+ Years of work experience
