Job Description A mainframe-based application support analyst is responsible for monitoring and support the day-to-day activities and functions for the team. Provides on-call coverage and follows defined procedures. Hands on technical and analytical ability to solve production issues. Have excellent communication skills and able to effectively communicate to management and LOB partners. Provides technical support for batch processing in TrX application to maintain stability, monitoring as well as meeting predefined business SLAs with upstreaming and down streaming systems. Participates and oversees in monitoring, triaging, troubleshooting issues, incident management, change control review and management, disaster recovery and ensuring application compliant with firms existing policies for the applications that the team supports. The core application, TrX, provides the Transaction Exchange services for all SOR (System of Record) deposit, loan, card and general ledger applications. Responsibilities: • Research and analyze potential business impacts in case of issues • Write and maintain application support related runbooks and documentation • Advice and recommend possible solutions and remediation plans to minimize business impacts in case of issues • Be able to reprioritize application processing in case of issues to minimize business impacts Primary Skill Splunk Secondary Skill Tertiary Skill Required Skills • Minimum of 5 years of experience in mainframe systems programming role or production support role or directly in related business operations for the core application • Strong knowledge and experience with IBM Mainframe and related technologies • Understanding of banking business knowledge in deposits, payments, credit cards, loans, general ledger as well as fraud prevention, interests/floats and financial services industry standards X9 etc. • Experiences in data collection, transformation and distribution involving mainframe with various technologies. • Good knowledge and understanding the processing flows in interbank transfers and settlements such as ACH and Wire transfers etc. • Knowledge and experiences in distributed systems in data processing is a plus Desired Skills • Minimum of 10 years of experience in mainframe systems programming role or production support role or directly in related business operations for the core application • Subject Matter Expert in transaction exchange services for deposit, loan, card and general ledger applications • Strong knowledge and experience with IBM Mainframe and related technologies • Extensive understanding of banking business knowledge in deposits, payments, credit cards, loans, general ledger as well as fraud prevention, interests/floats and financial services industry standards X9 etc. • Strong experiences in data collection, transformation and distribution involving mainframe with various technologies. • Extensive knowledge and understanding the processing flows in interbank transfers and settlements such as ACH and Wire transfers etc. • Strong knowledge and experiences in distributed systems in data processing is a plus Why should you choose
