- Highly technical and analytical expertise, with a proven deep background (preferred 3-5+ years' IT experience in addition to cybersecurity) in technology design, implementation, and delivery.
- Knowledge and experience creating and maintaining policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and technical documents
- Experience configuring email and authentication (SMTP, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, DNS)
- Troubleshooting email in large and complex environments
- Microsoft Defender for Exchange and Office 365 (O365) experience
- Experience with Proofpoint Email Protection, FireEye email/web protection, Symantec Messaging Gateway/Symantec Email Security .Cloud, Mimecast, etc. (large scale email security providers).
- Knowledge and experience creating and maintaining policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and technical documents
- Ability to propose and implement creative solutions to eliminate malicious (e.g. phishing) and unwanted email (e.g. spam, "graymail")
- Provide complex technical guidance, oversight, and enforcement of security directives, policies, standards, plans, and procedures
- Cross-functional understanding of email operations, security practices and the user experience
- Develop project documentation including detailed security plans, security architecture designs, detailed security implementation and deployment plans, test plans, and security-focused operational procedures and training materials
- Strong knowledge of current cyber security threats and techniques, as well as a dedicated and self-driven desire to research current cyber security products.
