Senior Database Engineer

In this role, you will:Perform advanced database troubleshooting and performance tuning, follow proper escalation procedures, and consult with and advise senior management and multiple clients on high impact database management issues

Identify areas of automation that can be used across all application DBA teams

Handle and lead various large-scale or highly complex data/database management activities

Lead and design highly complex data modeling, mapping, integration, capacity planning, disaster recovery efforts

Preserve compliance of all database management systems to include patching, security, data encryption and auditing

Maintain replication and high availability solutions for the enterprise databases

Provide mentoring, guidance, and general oversight to less experienced staff in a variety of database design, administration and/or modeling activities

Required Qualifications:4+ years of MS SQL server experience building Highly Available Infrastructure

4+ years of Database Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

4+ years of experience in supporting software development life cycle for large-scale distributed database technology projects and migrations

4+ years of MS SQL server experience

4+ years of experience writing Microsoft SQL Server relational database queries, stored procedures, query optimization and performance tuning

3+ years of experience working with large data sets, transactional platforms, or a combination of both

Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of data replication and recovery strategies including Mirroring, Log Shipping, Availability Groups

Desired Qualifications:Result-oriented , dedicated and IT operational risk awareness skills

DevOps

Working knowledge of Agile methodologies and tools

Strong technical background

Knowledgeable in the programming or scripting language experience implementing new technologies

Dedicated ability to lead projects/initiatives with high risk and complexity (operational risk management)

Ability to take responsibility, initiative, and accountability RDMS project

Strong collaboration and communication skills

Experience writing, editing, coordinating, and publishing technical documentation

Job Expectations:On-Call support.
