About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Independent Testing Officer in Independent Testing & Validation (IT&V) as part of Corporate Risk. Learn more about the career areas and lines of business at wellsfargojobs.com (https://www.wellsfargojobs.com/career-areas/) .The Independent Testing & Validation team is responsible for the development and design of methodologies and standards for review activities across the Enterprise in alignment with the Risk Management Framework and ensuring effective and appropriate testing, validation, and documentation of review activities for risk programs, risks, and controls according to standards and other applicable policies.The Senior Lead Independent Testing Officer role will provide strategic management, support & leadership during testing engagements performed by the Consumer and Small Business Banking (CSBB) testing team within Independent Testing & Validation (IT&V). The successful candidate will be a team player and a self-starter who is accustomed to working in complex organizations, partnering with a diverse group of stakeholders, and achieving results.In this role, you will:

Lead complex initiatives executing moderate to high risk or complex review activities and engagements in a matrixed environment.

Communicate emerging risks with broad impact and act as key participant in large scale planning for Independent Testing.

Develop and design methodologies and standards for review activities across the enterprise in alignment with the risk management framework.

Ensure effective and appropriate testing, validation, and documentation of review activities for risk programs, risks, and controls.

Make decisions in complex situations requiring solid understanding of risk management framework and the risk and control environment that influence and lead enterprise testing to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives.

Collaborate and consult with Audit, Legal, external agencies, and regulatory bodies to resolve risk related topics.

Lead project teams and mentor individuals.

Timely completion of testing engagements in accordance with annual test plan including scheduling and capacity planning across the team.

Escalation of schedule delays with proposed resolution plans.

Lead and execute substantive testing including end-to-end transaction & non-transaction testing of regulatory and risk reports.

Lead and support efforts to credibly challenge risks in the end-to-end regulatory reporting processes and effectively evaluate controls to mitigate those risks.

Document test results and issues identified while also providing and communicating recommendations to management.

Review and interpret new and revised corporate and IT&V policies and procedures and assess impacts.

Build relationships and collaborating with key stakeholders in the applicable line of business, other second and third line functions, and IT&V functions.

Identify and implement efficiencies and process improvements, including automation opportunities pertaining to metrics and reporting.

Required Qualifications:

7+ years of Independent Testing experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.

Desired Qualifications:

7+ years of relevant experience in regulatory reporting and risk management including compliance, operational risk, financial crimes, audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, IT systems security, and/or business process management.

Independent risk and controls testing, Audit, regulatory and risk management experience.

Experience with RCSA-based testing and subject-matter expertise in Global Operations, specifically Consumer, Small & Business Banking Operations and Fraud and Claims Management.

Experience managing testing engagements, preferably of large and complex scope, while leading other testers and resources

Proficient knowledge of consumer financial protection laws, rules and regulations.

Excellent verbal and written communication, attention to detail and risk analysis skills.

Experience writing reports for senior leadership audience level.

Excellent Critical Thinking, Analytical skills, and attention to detail

Management of full testing lifecycle experience that includes determining scope, test script design, test execution (including sampling methodology), analysis of results to identify gaps or issues, escalation of issues and risks, and documentation of reports with results.

Experience providing substantive “credible challenge” to senior and executive business partners, when necessary, with the ability to lead through influence.

Effective communicator, both orally and in writing, able to ask well-crafted questions and present ideas in a clear and compelling manner, good listener who engenders creative thinking and teamwork.

Ability to develop and articulate sound proposals to stakeholders and leaders, and an ability to influence and drive timely decision making.

Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment.

A BS/BA degree or higher in one or a combination of the following: Finance, Accounting, Analytics, or Reporting.

A Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), or Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) designation.

Pay RangeReflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location.
