It all begins with you .The Operational Risk Business Oversight (ORBO) Risk Senior Officer role is responsible for the independent oversight of front line operational risk management effectiveness of the Finance organization. This role is expected to engage with business and risk resources within the front line to influence and challenge risk management activities and decisions. Operational risk is the risk resulting Operational from inadequate or failed internal controls and processes, people, systems, or external events. risk is inherent in all Wells Fargo products and services as it often arises in the presence of other risk types.In this role, you will: Oversee and challenge the Enterprise Finance function across all aspects of the risk management life cycle (plan, identify and assess, control, monitor and report, test and validate). Perform independent risk assessment of the Finance function, including Financial Reporting Risk. Review and challenge Finance risk acceptances and new business initiatives. Use subject matter expertise and industry knowledge to provide independent oversight and credible challenge to Finance's operational risk management activities. Engage with Finance leadership, Control Executive teams, Business Management, and Independent Risk teams to promote a strong operational risk culture. Actively engage in key Finance risk governance routines including strategic planning sessions, governance committees and business reviews. Identify and escalate conflicts with risk management results and expected business outcomes. Influence appropriate risk management prioritization by the front line to enable Finance to meet strategic objectives, while meeting operational risk program expectations. Evaluate cross-program and cross-group analytics to identify opportunities and best practices to influence stronger risk management. Active engagement with IRM risk teams supporting various risk types to ensure appropriate alignment and prioritization. Provide a business-centric view to IRM risk programs as needed. Engage with businesses, as appropriate, to effect changes to the operational risk program. Partner with both internal and external stakeholders, including resources from all three lines of defense.Required Qualifications, US:

7+ years of Operational Risk experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Demonstrated experience with enterprise risk management framework, including risk identification, risk appetite and strategy, risk-related decisions, processes and controls, risk analytics and governance.

Strong understanding of the Finance functions (Controller, Treasury, Business Finance, Financial/Regulatory Reporting) business operations, processes, and products where they manifest risk.

Demonstrated ability to actively lead large scale, cross functional projects/discussions, work through issues and drive decisions. Strong experience in governance, oversight, and monitoring.

CPA or Accounting Degree with experience in the COSO Framework and SOX Compliance

Proven leadership skills to drive alignment across stakeholder groups to develop and deliver repeatable end to end risk management solutions.

Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) skills

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Strong data and analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

Be articulate and possess a demonstrated capability to organize, scope, and execute complex initiatives across a complex, heavily matrixed corporate environment.

Strong interpersonal, influencing, leadership and communications skills with an ability to interact effectively with stakeholders across the organization, which includes virtual, matrixed leadership experience.

Strong strategic and conceptual thinking skills

Experience using various tools create content and provide reporting and updates to senior-level management such as but not limited to: Tableau, BI Tools, GRC tools, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint

RCSA (Risk and Control Self-Assessment) experience
