You thrive on creating solutions that help people and have a passion for making technology simpler and friendlier.THE ROLE: We are looking for anexperienced communications professional and savvy storytellerwith knowledge of technology languages to build and drive a comprehensive internal communications strategy and support the Corporate Vice President their presentations and speaking engagements. In this role, you will define and deliver content attached to key organizational moments such as planning and prioritization milestones, cross-org leader communications and social presence, CVP speaking engagements and more. You will support our CVP in relation to all internal and external communications for Developer Relations. You’ll help to produce high-fidelity presentations for executive and stakeholder consumption, ensuring a strong narrative to support each presentation. You’ll be part of a global team with a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion and a work environment that emphasizes and rewards collaboration and teamwork. This role will involve partnership with multiple stakeholders, and you must be a strong team player, a self-starter, strategic thinker and highly adaptable.ResponsibilitiesLead, create and execute the DevRel internal communications vision, strategy, and overall execution plan.

Build effective channels, strategies, media, and methods to reach different roles and geos across DevRel.

Establish listening channels to gather feedback and metrics to evaluate communications efficacy.

Build a communications library of stories and presentation materials using a multi-model approach.

Develop a clear and engaging rhythm of communication stemming from the overall DevRel communication plan.

Develop and support a multi-channel communications plan and messaging framework for the DevRel leadership team.

Envision and drive communications related experiments to test out new ideas and formulate innovative communications solutions.

Provide CVP level executive communication support including CVP speaking engagements, employee communications, key messages, presentations, meetings, sponsored ERG comms support

Deliver executive-level work products including scripts, speeches, videos, and social media amplification plans.

Collaborate with C+E and other stakeholders to align strategic story telling opportunities and priorities.

Work with world-class engineering and business teams to create compelling, energy-generating content supporting key strategic messages and highlighting DevRel’s vision to Inspire, skill and engage developer communities everywhere to create and grow with the Microsoft Cloud

QualificationsRequired Qualifications:5+ years of experience in senior level communications and/or technical writing, including employee communication, marketing, journalism or equivalent work experience?

Preferred Qualifications:Outstanding verbal, written and visual communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex technical / non-technical issues and deliver compelling information to both internal and external audiences.

Proven track record in developing communication plans with technical/engineering partners and landing key messages for diverse internal and external audiences at all levels.

Advanced organizational skills, cross-organizational collaboration, and examples of balancing competing projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

The ability to manage multiple communications projects simultaneously and drive strong, inclusive work-back plans.

BS / BA degree or equivalent experience

Communication skills: Ability to create clear and concise communications in the right “voice” that results in compelling presentations/emails and in meetings with employees, partners, customers, developers, and others.

SeniorExecutive presence and ability to work with confidential information.

Displays adaptability, unquestionable ethics & integrity.

Judgement & Instincts– Proven ability to make sound principled decisions under pressure and find the “right” path even when conflicts arise.

Passion for developer ecosystems and a customer -focused mindset

Experience developing listening systems (via social media platforms or other) and measuring the impact and effectiveness of communications, adjusting communications plans, as necessary.

Eye for graphic design and multi-media creative content.

Proficient Microsoft Office skills, particularly PowerPoint and Teams.
