It all begins with you.The Strategy, Digital and Innovation (SDI) team forges the strategic direction of Wells Fargo, provides and manages our digital foundation and common capabilities, and transforms our business models to meet evolving customer needs and grow the company. The investments we are making will help the company create innovative digital banking experiences, and make it easier for customers to achieve their financial goals.This position will report to the COO of Digital for Commercial and Institutional Banking clients. The goal of this function is to obsessively collaborate with internal partners while evaluating both internal processes and external market dynamics to drive and accelerate the holistic strategy for WF’s Digital experience. This includes advancing and influencing commercial digital applications and initiatives, acting as both an interface, a conduit, and negotiator across the commercial digital ecosystem of the bank. The role also interfaces and influences across the Strategy, Digital and Innovation leaders as well as across the commercial business leadership regarding commercial digital platforms and initiatives including:Develop strategic framework to build, monitor and track digital Book of work and drive Investment roadmap creation for WF Commercial Electronic Office (CEO) and related mobile application.

Synthesize digital and capability metrics for the Commercial & Investment Bank digital group and for presentations to key stakeholders including the OC.

Develop routines, strategies, and client journeys to cultivate segment specific strategies that fit into the broader and holistic WF Digital strategy.

Business planning for mitigating and closing out issues with Risk/Audit.

Conduct competitive intelligence to inform strategic decisions.

The successful candidate will partner across CB & CIB Digital teams, LOB leaders, functional teams (Finance, Marketing, Risk, Legal, etc.) and the broader SDI team to assist in defining and standing up the right structure and team to drive execution across the portfolio of work (including investment roadmaps, budget, governance, stakeholder alignment, etc.).The successful candidate will:Possess and develop deep business understanding and acumen for our LOBs. He/she will synthesize the customer lens, economic drivers, and create business cases for a given set of priorities. Not only will he/she drive these types of analyses, he/she would also need the EQ/executive presence to gain influence, credibility, and rapport with senior leadership in an accelerated fashion. The required acumen to influence business budget and operating plans and the ability to frame, communicate, influence, shape, and negotiate will be critical for this role.

Provide metrics and reporting on the portfolio of strategic programs, both on an ad hoc and production basis through use of dashboards and scorecards.

Understand business strategies and objectives and collaborate across the CB & CIB Digital and SDI leadership teams to build a pipeline of strategic programs.

Identify and anticipate changes driven by the current business environment, and initiate effective program transformation, design and associated change management.

Communicate strategy and related business plans to management.

Quickly and thoroughly master evolving business contexts, stakeholder expectations and business requirements and translate them into program strategies/actions.

Identify the key market trends, competitive dynamics, value chain shifts that will create the biggest impact to WFC and its businesses. He/she will synthesize the implications as well as translate them into specific initiatives that would cascade down to the different LOBs and respective functions. The ability to think long term and understand the short-term ramifications is critical as this leader is expected to help our LOB partners translate vision into bite-sized priorities that can be operationalized in the LOB planning and execution periods.

Required locations for this position are either Dallas, TX (1445 Ross Ave); San Francisco, CA (420 Montgomery St); or Charlotte, NC (301 S Tryon St). This position will work remotely until COVID restrictions are lifted.Required Qualifications8+ years of strategic planning experience

Proven track record of developing and deploying best practices for new technologies, and/or managing the completion of complex projects in a large matrixed organization
