SUMMARY

The Technology Strategic Planning - Senior Vice President will be accountable for running Compass digital & technology business operations for Compass Technology, Compass Digital Labs, and E15. The scope of the role spans:

  • Financial planning & analysis, budgeting & forecasting, and cost recoveries
  • Supplier/ vendor management office for $200M+ in annual spend including commercial terms, contract administration, license renewals, etc.
  • Portfolio management for $80M capital portfolio across 60-90 active projects
  • Service management for Compass Technology across a 200 application portfolio
  • Procurement of technology assets for North America through the myITStore
  • This role reports to the Chief Information Officer of North America. Compass Group is a global leader in contract foodservice and hospitality serving millions.     JOB DESCRIPTION

    This role will:
    • Lead all financial aspects of planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for the technology teams in Compass Group North America
    • Advise on the digital and technology investment portfolios
    • Modernize cost recovery models to align with new capabilities and services
    • Govern, manage, and optimize technology supplier/ vendor partnerships including compliance, commercial terms, contract administration, etc.
    • Drive operational efficiencies and organizational maturity across technology procurement, supplier management, portfolio management and service management
    • Build a strong internal team with the ability to identify, attract and recruit top talent, retain, and mentor internal talent, and leverage outside consulting expertise
    • Building strong relationships and partnering with key business stakeholders

    KEY QUALIFICATIONS

    • 15+ years financial experience; experience in technology and procurement is strongly desired
    • Bachelor's degree required; Advanced degree a plus
    • Demonstrates strong financial acumen to manage multiple partners, resources (on/ offshore), programs, planning estimates for options analysis and business case
    • Excellent communications skills at all organizational levels
    • Supports risk management and control needs
    • Creates and preserves value through investments and optimizing the digital & technology capabilities
    • Leads strategic planning efforts to define desired outcomes and measures progress against those outcomes
    • Builds operational metrics portfolio to manage the business of digital & technology
