- Develop Datastage ETL code meeting 100 percent of technical specifications and business requirements according to the established design patterns
- Develop Teradata and/or Oracle code meeting 100 percent of technical specifications and business requirements according to the established design patterns
- Analyze, design, code, and test highly complex ETL processes, for data warehouses and/or operational data stores
- Understand design for ETL application including data sources, data targets, data definitions, data relationships, and business rules
- Work closely with technical leads, analysts, data modelers and other developers to understand project requirements and contribute to the project solution
- Provide post go-live & application maintenance support
- Provide technical expertise on Database design, Data modeling, Data Warehousing, and Data integration
- Create solutions for large and complex data driven applications
- Reconciliation and test cases of developed solutions
- Design, develop and support application solutions leveraging Teradata and Teradata Tools and Utilities
- Self-starter and motivated person with strong analytical skills who can gain understanding of existing systems, tools, designs and available technology and then participate in the planning and estimation of new initiatives
- Must have 3-5 years hands-on experience with an ETL tool IBM DataStage, in a medium to large company with good knowledge of UNIX based systems
- Extensive experience in developing ETL code using Datastage 8.x or higher, 2 or more years of hands on experience with SQL and 1 or more years of hands on experience with Teradata
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills excellent diagnostic and problem solving abilities
- Extensive experience in developing complex SQL code using Teradata stored procedures, TTUs, 12.x or higher, or Oracle PL/SQL, 10g or higher
- 4 or more years of hands on experience with SQL and 2 or more years of hands on experience with Teradata and/or Oracle
