- Assist with the day to day administration, support, maintenance and updates to the environment.
- Troubleshoot & help triage outages & issues.
- At lease 5 years of Systems experience including VMWare and Windows.
- Experience with VSphere, VCenter & ESX, including day to day management, VM creation, VM configuration, deploying templates, vMotion, replication, HA, DRS, etc.
- Experience upgrading VSphere, VCenter, VMWare tools, etc.
- Understanding of storage (SAN\NAS) connectivity from VSphere, mounting LUNs, etc.
- Experience using vLANs and VMWare virtual switching.
- Solid understanding of the Windows Server Operating system, including patching, build, troubleshooting, etc.
- Experience creating VMWare templates and good understanding of template best practices.
- Good understanding of Network and Security best practices as they relate to a virtualized environment and Windows Operating System.
- Ability to provide afterhours support for escalations as necessary.
- Solid understanding of network fundamentals
- Relevant VMWare certifications are a plus.
- Relevant Microsoft certifications are a plus.
