A growing Gastonia Family Law firm, handling divorce, child support, child custody, property division, and adoption matters is seeking an experienced paralegal. We help people when they are facing difficult life challenges, often at the lowest point in their lives. We are looking for a professional to help us further these objectives.
This professional will be responsible for client communications, scheduling and case management, producing, organizing and maintaining litigation documents and materials; discovery, drafting simple motions, in consultation with the attorney; conducting research and retrieving documents; preparing trial notebooks, preparing for depositions and trials.
At least 5 years minimum experience with a paralegal certificate from an accredited paralegal program preferred
Must demonstrate ability to multi-task and prioritize work assignments, meet deadlines and solve issues
Ability to anticipate and act as a member of the team by assisting when and where needed
Experience with maintaining a billable hour goal or requirement a plus
Assist with answering incoming calls and schedule appointments
Attention to detail, accurate typing, and proofreading skills
Other administrative tasks as needed

Must be a notary
Must be a natural communicator, speak well, and has a personality
Proficient with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat and ability to use/learn case management programs
Must have a valid driver's license and your own car.
