Position: Walker/Mainframe Technical Consultant Location: 100% Remote Contract/contract to hire and Contract Length: Through 12/31/21 + extension through at least June 2022. Top Requirements:

  • Experience with Walker Financial Systems
  • Experience with Mainframe
  • Experience with COBOL, JCL, DB2, etc.
Day to Day Responsibilities/project specifics:
  • Need additional resources to help with development around legacy Walker Financial Systems. Currently in the process of migrating to SAP, but need help maintaining, supporting and building interfaces within Walker.
  • Will be building interfaces in and out of Walker ERP for distribution centers.
  • Responsible for new coding as well as modifying existing code to add new processes, etc.
  • Must be able to write Technical Design Docs and Functional Design docs and work with the business to identify needs.
  • They are moving to SAP as a company, so future work may involve interfaces of Walker into SAP, etc.
  • Need to have strong communication and documentation skills
