NO C2C Must be able to work W2 We are currently seeking to fill a full time position for a Senior F5 engineer

within the Security Operation Center Network Security team, part of Client's Technology Information Security organization. This individual will be focusing on complex, enterprise level F5, security and networking projects and apply security governance. Ideal candidate will have a strong F5 background, solid IT security expertise and exceeds at project management. This individual will also interface with others within the IT organization, as well as other internal business units and partners. He/She will create and maintain functional and technical design specifications and solutions to satisfy security project requirements. The Senior F5 engineer will report to the VP of SOC Solutions and will be an involved member of the SOC team. The individual fulfilling this role must display an in-depth understanding of new trends and technologies related to F5 security, networking and compliance and contribute to the firms IT security strategy and roadmap.

Essential Functions :
  • Primary Security resource for F5 ASM WAF Implementations, configuration, administration and governance.
  • Partner with IT Network team on various projects including F5 implementation.
  • Govern and manages network equipment, as well as firewalls and intrusion detection systems
  • Write security reports and make recommendations as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational security rules and standards.
  • Coordinate response to information security incidents
  • Conduct research to keep abreast of latest security issues
  • Ability to interpret information security data and processes to identify potential compliance issues
  • Ability to quickly understand security systems in order to identify and validate security requirements
  • Member of on-call rotation
  • Performs other job related duties or special projects as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Hold an active F5 Certification: 301,303,401 (strongly preferred)

  • 5-7 years of hands on design, configuration, and delivery experience in F5 products

  • Experience with Automation / Orchestration such as Terraform, Ansible,iControl,AS3

  • Specifically, LTM, GTM, ASM, APM,WAF,AFM and iRules (F5's TCL scripting language)

  • Must have proven experience deploying F5 solutions out of the box (i.e. initial setup, F5 licensing process, base configurations, network configurations, deploying different modules, adding/removing VIPS, and advanced configurations)
  • Functional understanding of diverse set of networked applications requiring application traffic management solutions, including HTTP, HTTPS, SSH, FTP, DNS, NTP, ANYCAST services, and others
  • DMZ Network infrastructure knowledge including topology, security policies, firewalls and the L2/L3 switch and router infrastructure

  • Have a deep understanding of F5

  • Other experience (i.e., Cisco Routing/Switching, SIEM, VA, IPS, Cloud Security, Routing and Switching, Tenable, CASB, Python) preferred

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to identify root causes of issues and provide solutions.

  • Experience with Palo Alto firewalls desirable.

  • Experience administering network security required.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, product demonstration, customer service skills, and presentation skills required.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or engineering preferred
