They work closely with all team members to create a modular, scalable solution that addresses/incorporates future architectural changes and designs and drive the team's engineering practices in test driven development, continuous integration, and automated deployment. If you are a hands-on team member who actively coaches' others while pursuing resolution to complex problems this is the ideal role for you!

This team is responsible for supporting the end-to-end media workflow for production, creation, editing, deployment, and streaming. Candidates will be instrumental and assist with mapping business use cases to appropriate technology solutions. Candidates should be capable to evaluate the current tech stack and guide the development of future state architecture and implementation strategies.

In this role, you will:
  • Provide advanced level IT technical lead services and direction for software, middleware, or hardware projects on multiple platforms. Provide technical expertise and completes complex development, design, implementation, architecture design specification, and maintenance activities.
  • Ensure the viability of IT deliverables. Recommend development options and conducts testing.
  • Identify potential solutions and may approve solutions proposed by team members. Resolves complex issues uncovered by testers and internal clients.
  • Communicate with key stakeholders on project issues and implications. Evaluates the impacts of change requests on technologies.
  • Maintain current knowledge of IT development methodology, architecture design, and technical standards. Mentor IT staff with less experience and identifies training needs.
  • Review and approves documentation and diagrams created by IT team members. Writes documentation, including technical standards and processes.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous quality improvement of technical standards, methodologies, and technologies.
  • Participate in design, code, and test inspections throughout product life cycle to contribute technical expertise and to identify issues. Presents technical status and issues at milestone reviews.
  • Thoroughly understand and complies with Information Technology and Information Security policies and procedures, and verifies that deliverables meet requirements.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

What it takes:
  • Minimum of five years related work experience, with at least three years of development experience.
  • Candidates should have experience with some of the following technologies: Limelight, 3PlayMedia, Syncwords, Grabyo, Blackbird, ON24, Kaltura, Intrado, Singular.live, or AWS Elemental
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
