Title: QA Digital Solutions Architect

Location: Charlotte, NC

Overview: Test Architect leading the design and implementation of the Digital Solutions shift-left test strategy across our web, mobile, and AI channels. Lead responsible for managing our Automation Test Engineers. Focus on working alongside our Application teams to build and maintain a multi-phased ramp-up of unit and component scripts aligned to the build process and set a path to sunset our manual and end-to-end automated scripting where it applies.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Design & implement the shift-left test strategy as the organization rearchitects our technology platform.
  • Collaborate with application managers to establish test standards, practices & toolsets across all levels of testing including Unit, Component, System, and Acceptance.
  • Partner with DevOps engineers to fully automate testing throughout the release & delivery processes in the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and select market-leading frameworks and tools across all levels of testing that integrate in the automated CI/CD pipeline.
  • Partner with Dev Ops and application managers to define pass-fail testing thresholds within the automated release gates that ensure quality is met before code moves through pipeline.
  • Define appropriate levels of code and test coverage across the platform.
  • Lead the team of Test Engineers to execute test strategy.
  • Ensure QA deliverables are met across sprint teams within domain for each release.
  • Participate in product design reviews ensuring quality practices are baked into the software development and deployment life cycle.
  • Work with internal teams to document test environment and test data management container strategies and provisioning for the different types of testing activities.
  • Comprehend and decompose user stories/requirements to identify what tests need to be created and automated across the all levels of testing.
  • Create a culture that motivates teams to ensure zero defects leak into production -
  • Work across teams to understand enterprise quality requirements and ensure adoption of core processes and standards.
  • Be an advocate that mentors and guides others across the organization on best testing practices, techniques, and strategies.
  • Prepare, communicate, and deliver technical presentations related to the test strategy that is tailored to the audience.

Mandatory Skills:
  • 8+ years of experience within Software Testing of customer-facing banking applications.
  • Technologist with active automated test experience across Web, Mobile, and AI platforms.
  • Development background, competent in Java and React JS technologies.
  • Direct experience implementing market-leading web test automation frameworks with a preference on Cypress automation embedded into the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Direct experience defining, developing and maintaining automated test scripts for testing iOS and Android mobile applications using XCUITest, Espresso or Appium or related frameworks.
  • Experienced using technologies such as BitBucket, Crucible, SonarQube, Jenkins, Maven, Docker, uDeploy.
  • Preferred experience in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Mining, Stat or a related field or equivalent work experience in support the development, deployment, and ongoing enhancements of the dedicated chat BOT.
  • Required proficiency in developing automated API and services tests (REST, SOAP) using market tools such as REST-assured, Postman, SoapUI.
  • Ability to manage quality assurance and testing projects, schedules, tasks, and deliverables
  • Ability to effectively communicate quality issues and recommendations to improve quality to senior level IT management.
  • Extensive knowledge of software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build and release processes, continuous integration and continuous deployment concepts (CI & CD), and test suite development and maintenance.
