You are ready to find your purpose at work The Role We are transforming technology and creating a digital evolution that will empower Centene to better serve our members. This role is a business value multiplier, focused on maximizing business gains for every IT dollar invested. Create and own features that support product strategy and IT delivery. Lead the direction and focus of engineering and user experience teams. As Senior Product Owner you will:

  • Research and analyze complex business system issues and develop recommendations to improve processes
  • Lead meetings to surface issues, identify fixes, and advance projects continuously communicating product objectives Build a backlog of product features ensuring all items are clearly described, estimated and prioritized
  • Collaborate with technical teams to build modular and reusable solutions Simulate and test process systems improvements considering usability and industry standards
  • Approve each feature and continuously communicate with technical and business teams to ensure adherence to product vision and to proactively evaluate risks Drive sprint and release plans and communicate changes to business teams
  • Partner with business owners and other stakeholders to understand the business needs and objectives
  • Co-lead cross-functional concept ideation for new feature development including UX, data science and engineering participants
  • Leverage design thinking and lean startup methodologies in the development process to shape user stories and to quickly test, learn and refine capabilities
  • Team with engineering staff to understand viable technical approaches, proactively identify critical path tasks and solutions for barriers.
  • Guide the development of QA test plans
  • Monitor and analyze product performance and drive enhancements into new releases
  • Effectively engage with and manage offshore resources
  • Capable of presenting effectively in person or remotely
Additionally you will bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 5+ years of product management experience.
  • Deep knowledge of specified product domain and industry trends.
  • Knowledge of Information Technology.
  • Product Owner, Scrum Master, or Agile Coach experience preferred.
  • Familiar with Lean Startup and Design Thinking Methodologies
  • Experience in the healthcare industry with digital health experience a plus
  • Problem solver with strong oral and written communications skills
  • Self-starter with ability to perform well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Technology implementation and operations management experience preferred
