Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team. Someone with mechanical knowledge and experience in diesel engine repair, transmission repair, diagnostics / troubleshooting, electrical, etc. Ensuring the efficient operation of our fleet. This role involves diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and maintaining various diesel-powered equipment.
Duties
Diagnose and repair diesel engines and related systems to ensure optimal performance.
Perform routine maintenance on diesel engines, including oil changes, filter replacements, and inspections.
Repairs such as brakes, tires, and wheel seals.
Conduct heavy lifting tasks as required during repairs or maintenance activities.
Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed on equipment.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to safety protocols.
Qualifications
Proven experience in diesel engine repair with a strong understanding of mechanical systems.
Familiarity with road tractors and trailers is preferred.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues accurately.
Capability to perform heavy lifting and work in physically demanding conditions.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Valid driver's license may be required for operating company vehicles.
