Description
Systems Engineers will find an opening to join the team with one of Robert Half's local clients. You'll succeed as our Systems Engineer if you become a key contributor to the maintenance and optimization of the client's network and wireless infrastructure. This full-time employment opportunity is based in the Charlotte, Nc, North Carolina area.Key responsibilities- Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks- Maintain, test, configure, and install application software, operating systems, and system management tools- Communicate with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution- Uphold security, redundancy strategies, and back up- Vigorously deliver the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability- Survey and sample application performance for potential bottlenecks, pinpoint possible solutions, and cooperate with developers to perform those fixes- Offer 2nd and 3rd level support- Head and keep a close watch on all installed systems and infrastructure- Play a part in the design of information and operational support systems Requirements - If you're looking for job openings and have solid experience in the administration and performance tuning of application stacks, you might be a good fit for this position - Experience with monitoring systems is required for success at this position - Applicants should have proven working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting various operating systems - Experience with virtualization and containerization - Experience with automation software is required for success at this position- Foundational knowledge in Windows OS- Storage Protocols experience- Microsoft Windows Server experience preferred- Practical knowledge of DNS- Proven knowledge of VMware- Microsoft Azure experience highly desired- Well-founded grasp of Meraki- General familiarity with IP Addressing- ITIL Processes experience desired - This position will be the best fit for a candidate who have solid networking knowledge - We are particularly looking for candidates who have solid scripting skills Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
