Cloud Engineer
Position Description CGI Federal is looking for an experienced Cloud Engineer to support a large contract within the Federal Civilian space.Your future duties and responsibilities - Responsible for the evaluation of cloud strategy and program architecture- Responsible for gathering system requirements working together with application architects and owners- Responsible for generating scripts and templates required for the automatic provisioning of resources- Discover standard cloud services offerings, install, and execute processes and standards for optimal use of cloud service provider offerings- Build software for the organization's systems and ES as a service offering- Stay well-informed of failures and complications related to a cloud offering- Responsible for debugging technical issues inside a complex stack involving virtualization, containers, microservices, etc.- Collaborate with the engineering teams to enable their applications to run on Cloud infrastructure.Required qualifications to be successful in this role• Deep knowledge of infrastructure and platform services on at least one major cloud platform (Azure and/or AWS)• Strong experience with cloud migrations of applications and infrastructure• Experience designing, building and supporting Azure / AWS Public Cloud Platforms• Certification preferred: cloud professional (Architect, Associate, Developer) or comparable role, demonstrating applied architectural experience, both conceptual and logical in implementing complex technology environments• Experience deploying dockers, containers, microservices patterns and API`s• Knowledge of cloud networking patterns and services, such as load balancing, overlay networking, VPN and multi-datacenter networking• Due to contract requirements, US citizenship is required#CGIFederalJobBuild your career with us.It is an extraordinary time to be in business.
