Modis is searching for an SR Cloud Architect for a Direct Hire role, Remotely in the United States.
We are seeking a Principal Engineer to enhance the performance of our product development teams through the use of Cloud Native technologies, and to accelerate delivery, reliability and scalability of our industry-leading platform customers like the Washington Nationals and the Detroit Pistons.This role is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to join the team leading the digital transformation of elite athletics.Examples of types of problems you'll be solving:Design, implement, support and monitor a production environment which world class athletes depend on. Provide support across multi-region deployments and design zero-downtime failover mechanisms. Design Microservice architectures with our Platform and Hub teams to address operational issues and empower #devops culture within development teams. Evangelize and mature best practices and standards for infrastructure-as-code across multiple product lines. Use data to increase service resiliency and design to minimize downtime or loss of data. Solve complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires the application of scientific methods and an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors. Relevant Skills and Technologies Proven full-stack development for high traffic SaaS applications in multiple languages and frameworks. Expert knowledge of Linux operating systems and administration. Cloud based infrastructure with heavy emphasis on AWS. Operating and developing for Cloud Native with Kubernetes including security, compliance, and automation. DevOps tools in a cloud environment, such as Ansible, Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker. GIT, Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, Gitlab, ArgoCD.
