This is a direct-hire opportunity in Durham, NC. Target salary is 125,000 + benefits, a bonus offered, and will also offer stock options. The bonus amount is to be determined. Prefer people in RTP area that will be willing to go into their office occasionally.

We are the global digital industrial IoT Saas and solutions business with clients based in the UK, Europe, and USA. We are in the midst of significant expansion of our industrial IoT SaaS platform, called AssetMinder® which connects machines, smart products, and assets within the factory or out in the field and provides our customers with the intelligent information and insights they need. If it's an asset which needs monitoring, protection and/or maintenance, then AssetMinder® is the solution. We are in the frontier of smart cities, smart factories, smart transport, renewable energy, as well as helping industries enter the digital asset monitoring and proactive asset management age for the first time.

We work with OEMs, asset/infrastructure owners, maintenance companies, distributors, and rental companies to stay in contact with machines, assets, or things at their own or their customers' premises and to help them deliver hardware and maintenance services before things go wrong. We also help factory managers maintain and improve efficiency of their production lines by improving overall equipment effectiveness levels (OEE). Their cloud based AssetMinder® solutions can also help monitor utilities such as power, water, steam, and hydraulics to make sure companies are maximizing efficient use of power and delivering regulated effluents under current regulations and guidelines. We also help service companies manage their workforce and assets as they deliver in-person maintenance. We help critical infrastructure remain in good shape and always ready for the next train, plane, ship, or truck. We also make sure water, dairy milk, natural gas, and other liquids are getting to where they need to go and at the right measures.

Job is all about keeping current cloud system running and working on how to constantly make it better
Interact with clients regarding the network functionality, cloud services, and cyber security
Must have edge technologies experience
Understanding of Gateway Suppliers (?) that provide them data
Ability to work with and set up the best testing to ensure product effectiveness
Strategic person willing to research and then make recommendations about new products or process to make them better.

Responsibilities of the Senior Solutions Architect:

Reporting to the CIO, this person will be responsible for researching, testing, developing, expanding, and maintaining our cloud-based SaaS platform, called AssetMinder® and making sure we are able to connect effectively into our customers' machines and assets to provide the data they require through our AssetMinder SaaS solution. We have a growing system architecture with demanding SLA's which requires an expert cloud architect with an understanding of IoT and integration of the hardware/firmware/software layers. In addition to managing the system architecture, the Manager will also be responsible for managing and understanding the hardware layer (whether provided by this company or outsourced to other providers). There would be in-house technical expertise to make sure any hardware configurations including gateways and networks were properly managed for connecting to AssetMinder®. The Manager would research the many different architecture options in the Edge layer as well as the back-end architecture. We work closely with PTC, Microsoft Azure, AWS and several other small and large providers and the Architecture Manager would work closely with the CIO to properly research architecture alternatives and help to test and implement architecture changes.

The Architect Manager would work closely with the Head of Product Development and Product Manager to ensure the system architecture and hardware integration options support the AssetMinder® Product Roadmap and customer growth plans.
