Job Description
To apply, send your application tot[emailprotected]Reporting to the Transportation Manager, the Transportation Assistant Manager and is also accountable to the Director of Transportation. As a KIPP ENC school bus monitor, you will comply with all NC School Bus Safety laws in accordance with the NC Department of Transportation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Uphold the mission and vision of KIPP ENC
- Provide a safe, healthy, consistent, positive, caring environment for children and staff

- Happy and healthy students and parents
- Reports to work daily and on time
- Assist the bus driver in maintaining discipline on school bus; monitor and assist students while bus is in operation.
- Assist driver in assuring seat belts, harness and wheel chair clamps are secured as required.
- Assist parents and school personnel with safe loading and unloading of students; coordinate seating of pre-kindergarten students as required by State Transportation Guidelines.
- Maintain current knowledge of Emergency Evacuation procedures.
- Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS- Have a High School diploma or GED Certificate
- Able to follow oral and written directions
- Knowledge of safe practices concerning school bus transportation
- Ability to communicate effectively
